We are looking for a Software Engineer to work on our Data Collection System that supports the core functionality of our products. A passionate person who is confident and has exceptional communication skills; a person who enjoys learning and teamwork.

About the Team

The Platform Endpoint team is responsible for evolving and maintaining Rapid7 Agent and Collector. We are excited about building and supporting Rapid7 Data Collection pipelines that not only scale, but also are secure and flexible.

We are constantly taking care of the codebase, tests, and releases of many components. The technologies we use include Java, Python, GoLang, AWS, MacOS, Linux and Windows.

About the Role

The Software Engineer will support the team to improve and deliver the Collector..

In this role, you will:

• Support our Senior Software Engineers to deliver our data collection capabilities to meet the growing demands of our customers’ security needs

• Work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, product managers and other stakeholders to solve business problems

• Follow software development best practices to ensure a high standard of all teams’ deliverables

The skills you’ll bring include:

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer forensics/information assurance, or the equivalent work experience as determined through a technical interview.

• 1+ years of professional software engineering experience

• Knowledge using Java in a professional software engineering environment

• Fast learner, able to understand code and designs

• Problem solving skills

• Teamwork skills and ability to get work done through others
